Temporary presence Swiss Pavillion Expo 2010, Shanghai
The architects implement the theme of “interaction between town and country” by planning a hybrid structure of technology and nature that unites town and country and keeps them in balance. The light underlines these two principles. The roof with the natural element of the meadow seems to lift off and float through the bluish illuminated view from below, which arouses associations with the evening sky. Thanks to the yellowish lighting, the city lounge merges spatially with the urban surroundings.
