A warm welcome to
Julian Hofner
My interest in lighting began to develop while I was still studying interior design. Through various lighting projects in both indoor and outdoor spaces, I was able to experience early on just how strongly light influences the perception of architecture and atmosphere. I was particularly fascinated by how people perceive and use spaces differently once light becomes a deliberate part of the design.
For me, light is therefore far more than a functional necessity. It makes architecture visible, provides orientation and creates atmosphere, and has a decisive impact on how a space is experienced. It is especially in outdoor spaces that we see how important light is after dark, ensuring that places and spaces can continue to be used and experienced naturally.
Through my studies in “Reflexion,” I aim to deepen this understanding and combine my spatial thinking from interior design with the field of lighting. In doing so, I want to help design both interior and exterior spaces where architecture, light, and people interact naturally.
